A groomer's hands travel where daily petting may not: armpits, groin, ear canals, between toes, under dense feathering. That is why exclusive grooming doubles as early observation.
Watch for persistent odor after bathing, new flakes, redness in folds, hot spots that appear after play, or sudden coat thinning. Scratching that intensifies at night may point to allergens or parasites. Darkened, thickened skin can suggest chronic irritation.
We do not diagnose in place of a veterinarian—but we do document and communicate. Photographs, notes, and honest timing (“this appeared after the last hike”) help your vet act sooner.
In a private session, there is time to look carefully without a line of dogs waiting. Skin health is not an add-on to luxury grooming. It is one of the reasons luxury grooming exists.
